Green winning nation

The climate challenge is the biggest societal challenge facing the world, and Denmark has been at the forefront of driving solutions forward for decades. But Denmark's leading position is not a given, and ambitious and long-term action is needed if we are to remain at the forefront.

That's why a number of leading green companies and the The Danish Society of Engineers (IDA) have joined forces with CONCITO to launch the "Denmark as a Green Winning Nation" initiative.

The aim is to make it clear that high Danish climate and energy ambitions are needed if we are to maintain and strengthen growth and jobs throughout Denmark in the years to come.

The aim of Denmark as a Green Winning Nation is to unite around a common green ambition across the political spectrum, where high climate and energy ambitions will strengthen innovation, growth, exports and jobs throughout Denmark. In addition, green skills and a green labour market must be at the forefront and become a central element of the government's climate policy.

Through well-supported arguments and clear messages, the parties will highlight the benefits for Denmark as a  Green Winning Nation and secure the basis for a clear and important green voice in the public debate. Therefore, the aim is also to create a knowledge-based positive narrative about gains and potentials - locally, nationally and globally.
